Majorelle Gardens, Marrakesh, Morocco
Majorelle Gardens, Marrakesh, Southern Morocco, 2015-04-19.
Majorelle Garden is a beautiful twelve acre botanical garden space centred around a vividly painted yellow and blue riad building with Moorish influence to its architecture. Home to exotic plants, tranquil streams with floating lillies and lotus flowers, a large cactus collection and an archaeological museum showcasing a display of Berber culture, the space is named after an expatriate French artist - Jacque Majorelle - who designed the edifice (riad style building) between the 1920’s and 1930’s.
