Sardine kefta sandwich, Marrakech, Morocco

Sardine kefta sandwich, local Marrakesh street food cuisine dish, Marrakech, Morocco, 2016–04-16.

Kefta generally refers to things being minced with spices in Darija (Moroccan Arabic) and sardine kefta is a lot less common on the streets than beef kefta.

It is a popular choice in Marrakesh however, with the sardine version of a kefta sandiwch being served up as minced grilled sardine patties threaded with chopped onion, green olives, parsley, lemon, spices, and tomatoes.
