Thripunithura, INDIA - 2nd September 2019 - Pookalam competition on Athachamayam day in Thripunithura. Pookalam or Rangoli is one of the most popular traditional art forms in India. It is a kind of decorative motif, usually a floor art using various forms of colours from flowers and other colourful natural objects like spices and grains to create a decorative carpet of flowers. It is an integral part of Onam festival celebrations in Kerala. Ernakulam District of Kochi (Cochin), Kerala, Southern India.
