Derelict Kasbah architecture, Dades Gorge, Southern Morocco

The winding, meandering mountain road is famous for driving and runs inside the Dades Gorge and through the Dades Valley like a river, Southern Morocco 2016-05-13.

This main road known as being the ‘road of a thousand kasbahs’ stretches from Ouarzazate to Tinghir, curving it’s way through gorges and stunning arid landscapes which are naturally eroded by the winds from the Sahara desert.

The region offers stunning trekking, hiking, driving and cyclying routes throughout the gorge, oasis palmeries which are built alongside the Oued Dades (Dades river) and the crumbling derelict kasbahs.
